John Wayne FTW.

I never really liked John Wayne. His monotone, monochrome voice grated at me something fierce. But I did like many of the movies he was in, mainly WWII, since Westerns make me sneeze.

Heh....I met JW on the set of Rio Bravo when I was six years old. My ol'Man was Captain of the Arizona Rangers back then and they did security at the Old Tucson movie set........

I remeber Dad getting in trouble with Momma for staying out all night drinking with the Duke.

Next time he came to town, a few years later, I "Think" for McClintock, he came by the house and apologized to Momma.

*Then, they went out for a Beer again*

A good Man.

TBD- a lot of the men I grew up around sounded like that-- my dad is one of the few ranchers I know whose voice wasn't effected by years of yelling at cows. My godfather looked and sounded a lot like Mr. Morrison, but in an ugly Basque way.

SB-
"Fill your hands you son of a-!"

He was born 40 minutes SW of me in Winterset, IA.

It was a good thing he changed his name :)
