Hopefully My Only Post On The Oil Spill

Heard some guys arguing on the radio; one was apparently relatively conservative, the other liberal, and the liberal guy was insisting that "tea partiers" must not want the gov't to respond to the spill, because it's gov't action and they want small gov't. The other guy was saying we'd paid for it, and that the plan should've been followed instead of waiting for ten days before doing anything.

Well.

My sister rents. There are several electrical problems with the apartment. She's put in a request for them to be fixed. The managers said that they will fix it, and she's not supposed to touch it.

Part of the rent money is to go to such upkeep. If they aren't going to fix it, they should not claim that they are working it through the system so that she can get it fixed on her own. They should REALLY not say they have it in hand and for her not to touch it if they're going to keep on delaying.

Should there be a fire because of these electrical problems, they are solidly on the apartment management that failed to respond in a timely manner when they said they would, and doubly so since an effort on her part to fix it is not allowed.

Get it?

Don't be needlessly nasty, please, especially if I don't know you.
