They're an ODT magazine (with a facebook page) that, apparently, doesn't like to actually make the content they're selling.
This came to light because they lifted a pretty cool article about apple pie in history from a college girl's blog; she found out, and contacted them.
Their response?
1) it's public domain
2) it sucked anyway
3) you should be grateful we edited it and used it-- now you can claim it proudly.
4) be glad we didn't just take it and put someone else's' name on it.
....
Reeeelly.
Well, they made a bad choice in saying all that, and invoked the Wrath of the Internet.
Here is one of the results, a facebook page of other information they've lifted and where from. (I found out about this from Little Miss Attila on facebook.)
They're also dumb enough that they think the massive number of folks who are "liking" their page are "Friending" them, and that it's not so they can post on the page and call Cook Source out.
Language warning. Idiot, self-righteous thieves is probably the nicest thing they're called.
Who stole from Disney. Muwahaha!
UPDATE: LMA's post.
